HERMON – Dorothy Alice Bell, 93, died peacefully Aug. 27, 2013, at a Brewer nursing facility. She was born Jan. 28, 1920, the daughter of Harry Stevens and Myrtle (Watson) Stevens.
Dorothy attended Hermon schools and went on to spend many years as a caretaker and homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by two grandsons; three great-grandsons; and a brother. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Braley of Brewer; son, Mike Bell and his wife, Sandy, of Hermon; her sister, Doris Cronkite of Corinth; three grandsons; one granddaughter; ten great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at South Levant Cemetery, Levant, with the Rev. Brian Haggerty officiating.
