ELLSWORTH – Margaret A. Cunningham, died August 30, 2013 at an Ellsworth health care facility. She was born in Ellsworth, July 1, 1919 the daughter of Howard and Mary (Treworgy) Cunningham.
She attended schools in Ellsworth and graduated from Ellsworth High School, class of 1936. Margaret was a legal secretary to the late Superior Court Justice, William S. Silsby, Sr. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Ellsworth, Past Chaplain of the Ramassoc DAR Chapter, member of the Hancock County Women’s Republican Club, Trustee, Emeritus, of the Black House (Woodlawn Museum), member of the Ellsworth Historical Society and a volunteer at the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by nephews, Charles D. Marshall and wife Mary of Franklin, Jonathan E. Marshall and wife Patricia of Ellsworth; several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by sister, Marion C. Marshall; and niece, Barbara M. Goodyear.
A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
