BANGOR – Stephanie Denise Brown, 55, passed away peacefully Sept. 1, 2013, at a Brewer health care facility. Stephanie was born in Bangor, the daughter of William H., Jr. and Barbara J. (Nickerson) Bruns.
Stephanie grew up and was educated in Bangor schools. She was proud of her most recent accomplishment of obtaining an Associate’s Degree from Beal College in Medical Assisting. She worked as a medical assistant for many years, most recently at Family Medicine of Brewer with Dr. Gott. She enjoyed going to camp, sunbathing, cooking, cross word puzzles, her kitties, Scrabble, her flower gardens, and going to the gym, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.
Stephanie is survived by her two daughters, Danielle Williams and husband, Edwin, and Ashley Sargent and husband, Corey; grandchildren, Joshua Brown, Arianna Sargent, and Edwin Williams Jr.; brothers, William H. Bruns III and wife, Debbie, and Peter Bruns and wife, Debbie; sisters, Gail Bruns and partner, Richard Cain, and Cassandra Byorak and husband, Scott; her special friend, Kurt Ferguson; the father of her children, Frederick Brown; as well as several nieces, nephews and special friends, too numerous to mention.
A celebration of Stephanie’s life will be held 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at her brother William’s home, 1786 Union St., Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. James L. Haddix officiating.
