TROY, ILL. – Jean E. Stubbs, 79, born March 30, 1934, in Caribou, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2013, in Glen Carbon, Ill. Mrs. Stubbs was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Presque Isle.
Jean was predeceased by her husband, Ronald E. Stubbs; parents, Harry and Ophelia (True) Dempster; son, Kenneth “Kenny” Hayes Jr.; brothers, Kenneth and Merle Dempster; and sister, Betty White. Surviving are her daughters, Judy and Dan Beals of Troy, Ill., and Linda and Hazen Sewell of New Brunswick, Canada; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Lois “Nettie” Browning and Carol “Avis” Clark; and brother, Anthony “Tony” Dempster.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at Evergreen Cemetery. Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
