PORTLAND, Maine — Three people were taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a stabbing on Oxford Street, police said.

Officers responded to the scene shortly before 1:30 p.m., according to City Spokeswoman Nicole Clegg.

Upon arrival, police discovered two individuals with injuries consistent with stab wounds, while a third victim suffered a blunt force trauma injury, Clegg said.

None of the injuries are life-threatening, according to Clegg.

Preliminary investigation reports indicate that the three victims were the only ones involved in the confrontation, Clegg said. The incident remains under investigation.
