GRAY, Maine — With more severe weather bearing down on Maine, the National Weather Service has issued more thunderstorm watches and warnings.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Lincoln, Sagadahoc and Knox counties, as storms capable of producing hail and damaging winds are expected to move through on Thursday afternoon.

In addition, a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Androscoggin, Cumberland, Kennebec, Waldo and York counties.

Meanwhile, the NWS’s Caribou office has issued flash flood warnings for northern parts of the state.

Those warnings are expected to remain in effect through the end of the day Thursday in Piscataquis, Penobscot and Aroostook counties.
