WESTBROOK, Maine — A prisoner on work release was unconscious after an overdose Tuesday afternoon, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Robert Louis Tucker, 43, was found unconscious with a needle near his arm at a Westbrook work site where he had been painting, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office. The release says police received a report of the unconscious man at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Tucker was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland for drug overdose treatment and is listed in stable condition, the release said. The prisoner was serving a state sentence for burglary.
The incident is under investigation by the Westbrook Police Department and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
