BANGOR – Arline Mary Grant, 89, of Bangor went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013.
She was born Sept. 18, 1923, to Irvin and Alice (Rooney) Furrow in Bangor. Arline graduated from Bangor High School in 1941. She married Irvine R. Grant of Bangor in 1946.
Arline worked as a telephone operator at Dow Air Force Base during World War ll. She then stayed home to raise her children. She was a charter member of River City Wesleyan Church in Bangor.
Arline was predeceased by her husband, Irvine; brother, Howard Furrow; and her son, Henry Rankin Grant II.
She is survived by her three daughters, Susan MacDonald and her husband, Paul, of Abilene, Texas, Kathy Stilton and her husband, Don, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Sarah Keezer and her husband, Larry, of Bangor; nine grandchildren, Jim MacDonald and his wife, Kelly, of Abilene, Texas, Karen Billings and her husband, Charlie, of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Amy Jepsen and her husband, Keith, of Broomfield, Colo., Kathy Kuhns and her husband, Roger, of Millmont, Penn., Chris Stilton and his wife, Elena, of St. Petersburg, Fla., Jim Stilton and his wife, Melissa, of Lexington, S.C., Geoff Stilton of St. Petersburg, Fla., Kate McGovern and her husband, Peter, of Bangor; and Brian Keezer and his wife, Gretchen, of Hampden; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date.
