NEWPORT, Maine — A fatal New Hampshire accident involving a truck driver from Aroostook County remains under investigation, Granite State officials said Thursday.

Officials at the Merrimack County attorney’s office said they and police are probing details from a crash in which Kerry Anderson-Baker, 40, of Concord, N.H., was killed.

Charges have not been brought against the truck driver, Alan Condon, 51, of Oakfield, but the case remains open.

Condon was heading northbound in the town of Hooksett on Interstate 93 when a tire-wheel assembly flew off his rig and struck an unmarked state police cruiser before the debris flew into the southbound lanes and struck Anderson-Baker’s vehicle.

Condon was located Wednesday morning in Newport thanks to witness accounts from the scene and state police in Maine.
