BANGOR, Maine — Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash involving two men on outer Union Street early Friday morning.
Bangor police Lt. Paul Edwards said the crash occurred near Sprague’s Nursery on Route 222 shortly before 5 a.m.
The eastbound vehicle apparently hit a drainage culvert and flipped onto its side, ejecting one man, the lieutenant said.
Edwards said the names of the two men occupying the vehicle weren’t immediately available, nor were the extent of their injuries. The lieutenant said alcohol may have been a factor.
“There was evidence there may have been some intoxicating beverages involved in this,” he said.
Bangor police Officer David Olmstead is investigating the accident further, according to Edwards. No other details were immediately available.
