PARKMAN – Basil L. Peasley, 78, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2013 at his home in Parkman after a long illness. He was born May 1, 1935 in St. Albans, a son of Harry and Myrtle Peasley.
He was a graduate of Hartland Academy and was employed for many years at Dexter Shoe Co. until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed watching Nascar and golf in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Arlene Peasley of Parkman; his son, Chad Peasley and his wife, Micki, of Palmyra; a stepdaughter, Joni and her husband, Paul Fernald, of Detroit; one grandson, Travis Fernald of Palmyra; three brothers, Charles Peasley and his wife, Pat of Three Rivers, Mich.; Dean Peasley and his wife, Grace, of Ripley; Linwood Peasley and his wife, Donna, of Dexter; and one sister, Phyllis and her husband, Everett Graham, of St. Albans.
