Mutt Nose Best, a  Bangor-based dog products company will hold a 5K walk and run Saturday, Sept. 28 to raise money for area domestic violence shelters that need help accepting and sheltering pets along with their owners.

According to a story in the Bangor Daily News publication, “The Weekly,” animals are abused in more than 88 percent of homes where people are abused.

The event will take place from 8:30 to noon at the Bangor Waterfront. Registration is $25, plus $2.37 in fees and is open to humans and dog-human pairs.
