HOLDEN and OLD TOWN – Donald Mackenzie Marsh, 79, died Sept. 27, 2013, at his home in Holden. He was born Jan. 23, 1934, in Old Town, son of Bernard C. and Hazel M. (McKenzie) Marsh.
Donald was a graduate of Old Town High School, attended the University of Maine, Orono, and then completed his studies at the Longy School of Music and Emerson College in Boston. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Donald was a well-known music teacher for many years in the Boston Public School system. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Old Town.
Surviving are his husband, Tracey T. Raynor of Holden; one brother, James P. Marsh of Milford; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at St. James Episcopal Church, Old Town, with the Rev. Ann Kidder, rector, and the Rev. Canon Mary Ann Taylor, officiating. Interment will be in Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
