ROQUE BLUFFS, Maine — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three people on drug charges after a joint raid with the Maine Warden Service on Wednesday afternoon on Deer Run Road.
Washington County Sheriff Donnie Smith said that deputies and wardens executed a search warrant about 2 p.m. at the residence of 47-year-old Randy Preston.
During that search, authorities seized approximately 7,875 milligrams of oxycodone, small amounts of other drugs, drug paraphernalia, about 34 marijuana plants, four handguns, five long guns and more than $4,000 in cash, the sheriff said.
As a result, Preston was arrested on charges of trafficking in oxycodone and marijuana cultivation. Also arrested were Steven Barnard, 50, of Marshfield and Dawn Crocker, 34, of Roque Bluffs, Smith said.
Barnard was charged with aggravated trafficking in oxycodone and Crocker was charged with furnishing oxycodone and possession of scheduled drugs.
As of Wednesday evening, all three suspects remained at Washington County Jail, a jail official confirmed. Smith said that bail for Preston and Crocker has been set at $25,000 cash, and Crocker is being held on unsecured bail.
Information about the street value of the drugs that were seized was not immediately available.
Smith said the K-9 Stryker of the sheriff’s office was used for drug detection during the search.
