OLD TOWN – Milton “Mac” McMurphy, 85, died Oct. 1, 2013, after a long illness. He passed peacefully at his home with his wife Dena by his side.
Mac was a veteran of both the Army and Navy, serving his country with pride and honor while enjoying the worldwide travel in the military.
He met his wife Dena 10 years ago and they were happily married for the past 6 1/2 years. They both found the Lord 9 years ago, sharing many special moments with his friend and pastor, Ron Wilbur.
Mac was a talented “chef,” his specialty being bread making. He also enjoyed wood carving, creating may one of a kind sculptures. He was well known for his hearty laugh and joke telling, always making people smile.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Ruth. He is survived by his loving wife, Dena; sons, Marvin, John, and Brett; daughters, Ann, Marylee, Patty, and Michelle; stepchildren, Scott and Rose, and Dean and June; and special friends, Mary Ann Dorian and J.D.
Those who wish to remember Mac may donate to a charity of their choice in his name.
