PRENTISS TOWNSHIP – Harold Francis Sibley Sr., 91, passed away Oct. 10, 2013, at his home. He was born June 13, 1922, the son of Mabel Helena (Butler) Sibley and Thomas Nelson Sibley.
Harold served in the U.S. Navy and was a World War II vet. He retired from Coles Express, was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved to camp at Pleasant Lake and Lily Bay.
Harold is survived by two sons, Harold F. Sibley II and his wife, Mabel, of Interlachen Fla., and Gary N. Sibley and his wife, Lillian, of Westfield; three grandchildren, Robert Jones and his wife, Lindsay, of Glenburn, Elizabeth Kimball and her husband, Jarrod, of Lincoln, and Dee (Sibley) Coburn and her husband, Jeremy, of Interlachen, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Gage Jones of Glenburn, Ryland and Cameron Kimball of Lincoln, and Jacob, Landen, and Kaitlyn Coburn of Interlachen, Fla. Harold was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Nevins) Sibley; a daughter, Cathy (Sibley) Jones; a brother, Thomas Sibley; and a sister, Norma Welch and her husband, Vinal.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at Butterfield Cemetery, Prentiss, with the Rev. Myles Cyr officiating. Those who wish may sign an online guest register and leave written condolences at www.clayfuneralhome.com.
