ROCKLAND, Maine — A local teenager has been arrested, accused of breaking into a city home Wednesday and stealing money.
The 17-year-old, whose name is not being released by police, was taken to Mountain View Youth Development Center in Charleston, according to Rockland Police Detective Russell Thompson.
Police received a report at about 10 a.m. Wednesday that a residence on Rankin Street had been broken into through a window and that money had been taken from a drawer.
Following an investigation, the youth was charged and some of the money was found on him, Thompson said.
The teen had done some work at the residence, the officer said.
