BRANDON, Fla. – Jody G. Bridges, 80, passed away Oct. 11, 2013. She was born April 26, 1933, in Dexter, to the late Jerry and Lily Gallagher.
Jody graduated Portland High School. She worked many years as a legal secretary and in the insurance industry. She was a devout Christian and many will remember her, and her late husband, Donald, for their music and prison ministry.
She was predeceased by infant children, Cheryl and Phillip; three brothers, Jerry Jr., Ralph, and John Gallagher; and two sisters, Helen G. Levesque, and Carley Jean Gallagher. Survivors include sister, Annie G. Briggs of Plant City, Fla.; brother, Dan (Caro) Gallagher of Roanoke, Va.; and special niece and caregiver, Deborah G. Kobritz of Tampa, Fla.; along with other nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Belvedere Commons, Tampa, Fla., Jody’s most recent home.
