CARIBOU and SINCLAIR – Oscar E. Pelletier, 85, husband of Gloria (Beaulieu) Pelletier, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, Oct. 17, 2013, while residing at Ridgewood Estates, Madawaska. He was born July 29, 1928, in St. Francis, the son of Eddie N. and Dora (Morin) Pelletier.
Oscar was a 4th degree member of the Caribou Knights of Columbus and a Communicant of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, North Caribou. Mr. Pelletier was the owner of Pelletier’s Market on the Van Buren Rd in Connor, and was later employed as a carpenter by DANACK and J.P. Martin and Sons. After retiring to Long Lake in Sinclair, Oscar and Gloria spent many years enjoying boating, fishing and the love for people as they celebrated life and family.
In addition to his parents, Oscar was predeceased by three brothers, Addis, Bobby, and Paul Pelletier. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gloria of Madawaska; two sons, Steven Pelletier and his wife, Susan, of Dexter, and David Pelletier and his partner, Nathan Yang, of Dorchester, Mass.; two daughters, Judith McCall of Houston, and Cindy Wilson and her fiancé, Scott Hanscom, of Hampden; one brother and sister-in-law, Valdore and Ruby Pelletier of Caribou; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha Landeen of Bristol, Conn., Jackie Jalbert of Fort Kent, Nadine and Don Cox of Haysville, Kan., Joan and Ralph Deane of Bangor, Doris and Ronnie Smith of Caribou, and Yvonne and Don Lewis of Annapolis, Md.; four grandchildren, Jason Pelletier and his wife, Gina, Nicole McShane and her husband, Marty, Lane McCall and his wife, Rachel, Tyler McCall and his wife, KC; four great-grandchildren, Lucas, Aliyah, Ava, and Ella; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Oscar’s wishes there will be no services at the present time however, those who wish may contribute in his memory to the Edgar J.
