SANFORD, Maine — A man suspected of robbing a Sanford credit union at gunpoint was arrested on Thursday morning, police said.

A federal arrest warrant was issued Wednesday morning for Philip Gage, 46, of New Hampshire, according to Sanford Detective Sgt. Matt Jones.

Police from Sanford, Eliot, Kittery, Berwick, Somersworth, N.H., and the FBI collaborated to arrest Gage at his residence in Somersworth, N.H.

Gage robbed the Ocean Communities Federal Credit Union on Oct. 26, and the Kennebunk Savings Bank in Eliot on Oct. 19, according to Jones.

Gage is being held at the York County Jail.
