HOULTON – Evelyn Harris, 93, died Nov. 3, 2013, at a local health care facility. She was born Aug. 3, 1920, in Littleton, the daughter of Stephen and Blanche (Brown) Crane.
Evelyn was a life long member of the Littleton United Baptist Church. She was employed SAD No. 29 as a cook for 10 years. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and she loved to read.
Evelyn is survived by her son, David Harris and his wife, Elizabeth, of Woodstock, NB, Canada; her daughter, Delores Wielgosz of Holyoke, Mass.; five grandchildren, David, Samantha, Rynn, Gene, and Shawn; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Clark and Lois Geiger; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Harris; her daughter, Darlene; and her siblings, Emma MacDonald, Harry Crane, Gordon Crane, Goldie Scully, Clara Huggard, Nola Webber, Oscar Crane, Milton Crane, Ruth Peabody, Mae Lezotte, and Edward Crane.
Friends may call 11 a.m. until the time of the service held 1 p.m. Thursday, at Littleton United Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Straubel officiating. Interment will be at Littleton Cemetery.
