• William Shaw Jr., staff sergeant, Kenduskeag, 488th Military Police Company.
• Orie Bartlett, sergeant, Veazie, 133d Engineer Battalion.
• John Carter, sergeant, Orrington, 488th Military Police Company.
• Anthony White, sergeant, Hermon, Det. 1, Company E, 186th BSB.
• Jordan Cross, specialist, Brewer, 195th Army Band.
• Aaron Lewis, specialist, Hermon, 195th Army Band.
• Thomas Neill, specialist, Bangor, 120th RSG.
• Kaleb Roberts, specialist, Brewer, Det. 2, 3/142d Aviation.
• Paul Turner Jr., specialist, Glenburn, Detachment 1, 152d Maintenance Company.
• Darrell Savage III, private first class, Lincoln, 136th Engineer Company.
• Wayne Dyment Jr., sergeant, Winterport, Co. B, 3/172d Infantry (Mountain).
All were promoted to rank in September.
Basic training
HERMON — Army Pfc. Kevin Frederick graduated recently from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Frederick, a 2012 graduate of Hermon High School, is the son of Danica and Kenneth Frederick of Hermon.

BANGOR — Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Christopher Landry graduated recently from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
Landry is the son of Kim Landry of Bangor.
