BANGOR, Maine — Police said Wednesday morning that a 3-year-old girl who was shot recently remains hospitalized.

Sgt. Cathy Rumsey said no update was available on the toddler’s condition, and police continue to investigate the Oct. 30 incident that occurred on Bald Mountain Drive.

The girl is being treated at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. No arrests have been made and no charges have been filed in connection with the case.

The district attorney’s office is currently reviewing the case.

The toddler, whose name has not been released, suffered a gunshot wound to the neck, police said.
