CARIBOU – Ethel Maxeiner 90, wife of the late Charles Maxeiner, died Sunday Nov. 10, 2013 at her Caribou residence following a period of declining health. She was born in Limestone, June 21, 1923, daughter of the late Ben and Doris (Thibodeau) Bourgoine.
Mrs. Maxeiner was a well-known beautician in Caribou on Sweden Street then later in her home on Clover Street. She ran a ceramics business and was a person who did many handcrafts especially quilts and dolls.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles in 2008, her only son, Charles Robinson, her sister, Alda Doak and brother, Leonard Bourgoine. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Michelle Robinson and granddaughters, Kristen and Karen Robinson of Tolland, Conn.; her godson, Jerry Macgivern of Lakeland, Fla., her sister-in-law, Anna Bourgoine of Wayland, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, 9-10:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Following the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments and the parish center. Interment will be in the St. Louis Cemetery, Limestone.
