PRESQUE ISLE – 77, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, “Papa” passed away Monday evening Nov. 11, 2013, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Presque Isle on Feb. 22, 1936, the son of Edmund and Helen (Doody) Wright.
He worked as a truck driver for Coles Express Co. and retired from McCain Foods in 1996. “Jake” was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He was a member of the Masonic Trinity Lodge No. 130 AF & AM., and Temple Shrine Club.
He is survived by his wife, Yolanda (Dumont) Wright of Presque Isle; two sons and their wives, Gerald “Gerry” and Karlene Wright of Franklin, and Michael and Carol of Mapleton; a daughter, Beth Ann Lint and her husband, Craig, of Presque Isle; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Rev. Manzer Wright.
