ELLSWORTH – 94, died Nov. 11, 2013, at Courtland Rehab & Living Center, Ellsworth. He was born in Franklin, May 11, 1919, a son of George J. and Clara (Davis) Buzzell.
Reginald grew up in Otter Creek and graduated from Mt. Desert Island High School. He and Margaret V. Estabrook married and she predeceased him in 1985. On Nov. 21, 1987, Reginald and Gloria Dunham were married. Reginald joined the U.S. Army in 1942, and served during WWII. He was honorably discharged in 1943. He established Buzzell Oil in 1950, retiring in the late 90’s. In his retirement he enjoyed delivering cars, morning times at McDonald’s, and spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed taking his stepgrandchildren fishing and playing ball. Reginald was a member of the Bangor Baptist Church for 32 years and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Gloria; children, Marjorie Fennell and husband, Bill, of Howard, Ohio, and Tom Buzzell and wife, Nancy, of West Rutland, Vt.; stepchildren, Rebecca, Eugene, Victoria, Anthony, and Ralph; grandchildren, Billy Fennell and wife, Amy, Missy Parmelee and husband, Steve, and Andrew Buzzell; stepgrandchildren, Ashley, Virginia, Anthony, Ralph, and Jeannie; great-grandchildren, Billy, Drew, Chad, Gabe, and Cooper Fennell, Erin, Zachary and Jackson Parmelee; and sister, Carolyn Meader of Bar Harbor. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Margaret; brother, Fulton; and sister, Alice.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at the Maine Coast Baptist Church, Ellsworth, with Pastor Gerry Dill officiating. A reception will immediately follow at the church.
