FRUITLAND PARK – Bonnie L. Klimas, 59 passed away November 9th, 2013 at Lane Purcell Hospice in FL after a long battle with cancer. She was born July 9th, 1954, in Millinocket, ME, daughter of Herbert and Geraldine Pickard.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Gerald Pickard and John Pickard, all formerly of Millinocket, ME.
Bonnie had a real zest for life and lived it to the fullest of her ability before and during her sickness. She excelled in cooking and doing many crafts over the years. She got great enjoyment from playing cards, bingo, traveling around, and later moved to Florida, where she enjoyed the same, as well as beaches, and getting to spend her last couple of years with her grandson, who now attends college in Florida.
She is survived by her son Robert Klimas Jr. of Bradenton, FL and daughter, Jodi Klimas of Hermon, ME. Not only will she be greatly missed by her children but also her sister, Madeline Tardy and husband, Donald of Lady Lake, FL, brothers, Herbert Pickard Jr. of TN and Terry Pickard of Bradenton, FL, several nieces and nephews, and one very special grandson, Matthew Rudge formerly of Bangor, ME.
There was a memorial and celebration of her life Wednesday the 13th of November at her sister’s home in Lady Lake, FL.
