ISLAND FALLS – Iain George Cletus Grayham, 27, died on Nov. 15, 2013, in Virginia Beach, Va. He was born on March 6, 1986, in Springfield, Mo.
Iain had a sardonic sense of humor, a lifelong love of drawing, writing and the martial arts. He spent a considerable amount of time drawing and kicking his way through school and often putting his quick wit to paper, penned many satirical cartoons.
After graduating from Aroostook High School in Island Falls, Iain worked as a med tech before he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2009, where he proudly and faithfully served as a Petty Officer 3rd Class.
Iain married the love of his life, Jennifer Willette, they were overjoyed with the birth of their son Oscar in May of 2008, in Houlton. A loving father, Iain and Oscar were inseparable from the start.
Among Iain’s many aspirations was his desire to pursue a career in law enforcement and had hoped to speak publicly to students about overcoming the challenges of being the target of bullying.
Iain is survived by his wife, Jennifer Grayham of Island Falls; his son, Oscar; his mother, Terri Haber and her husband, Ari, of Kansas City, Mo.; his father, Gregory Grayham and his wife, Joanna, of Overland Park, Kan.; twin sister, Abbye T. Grayham of Liberty, Mo.; niece, Sadie McCoy; his grandmother, Cynthia Stubblefield of Republic, Mo.; and his gram-in-law, Marie Willette of Island Falls; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
Celebration of Iain’s spirit will continue in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
