MEDWAY – James Frank Russell Jr., 38, died in a tragic woods accident Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013. Jimmy was born Dec. 27, 1974, in Millinocket, the son of James F. and Donna L. (Mansir) Russell.
Jimmy’s favorite thing to do was to watch his daughters in their various activities, especially watching them play basketball. His daughters were everything to him. He enjoyed taking them camping and just doing things with them. They were his life. When he wasn’t working, watching his daughters play sports or do dance, he spent his time with all his nieces and nephews. They were all very special to him.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Cassie, 11, Kristin, 9, Elizabeth, 7, and Phoebe, 4, all of East Millinocket; Lisa Russell, the mother of his children of East Millinocket; a sister, Rachel Russell and her fiancé, Chris Libby, of East Millinocket; grandmothers, Alvira Russell and Geneva Lee; nieces and nephews, Alexis, William, Arissa, and her mother, April Stanley, Colin, Emma, Landen, Hailey, Hannah, and Dylan; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and close friend of the family, Rebecca Leonard. He was predeceased by paternal grandfather, Wyman Russell; grandmother, Lonie Jacobs; brother, William Louis Russell Sr.; cousins, Peggy Lynn Cyr, Ronnie “RJ” Mansir Jr.; uncle, William “Billy” Chester Mansir; and his best friend, Frederick “Freddy’ Stanley.
Friends may visit with the family 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at Lamson Funeral Home, 17 Western Ave., East Millinocket. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 2 Orchard St., East Millinocket, with the Rev. Regginal Adams officiating. Interment will be in the spring.
