ROCKLAND, Maine — The Rockland City Council is scheduled to meet Monday evening at 6:30 to appoint an interim city manager and to discuss the process for searching for a more long-term chief administrator.
The meeting comes in the wake of Thursday’s announcement that James Smith would be resigning effective Jan. 18 to return to his former position as assistant city manager in Brewer.
The council will hold a closed-door session during that meeting to discuss potential interim candidates.
