MILLINOCKET – David D. Sirois, 61, passed away Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013 at a Bangor hospital. David was born April 21, 1952 in Van Buren, the son of Leo and Janelle (Hebert) Sirois.
A 1971 graduate of Stearns High School, David ventured to Massachusetts to build a life. He married and raised a family while there and, upon retirement from the roofing business in 2006, he returned to Millinocket where he spent time at the family home with his parents. David was a happy go lucky man who enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and could frequently be seen riding around town in his truck with his special dog, Cleo, by his side. He was especially helpful in taking care of his parents’ needs while living in Millinocket.
In addition to his parents, David is survived by his two daughters, Emily and Leah Sirois, both of Massachusetts; brother, Richard “Itch” Sirois and special friend, Selina VanEss; sister, Diane Cain and her husband, Terrence; brother, Roland Sirois and his wife, Suzanne; sister, Jessy Sirois; and brother, James Sirois and his wife, Jeaneanne; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 11 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, followed by Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated 1 p.m. Thursday at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, 19 Colby St., Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider. Spring interment will be at the Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in memory of David may be sent to the Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field St., Millinocket, ME 04462.
