EASTBROOK – Tim Dickens 60, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away, Sunday, December 29, 2013.
Tim was passionate about Dickens Farms and farming blueberries, the well-being of his community, playing guitar, singing and spending time with his grandchildren and friends. He was an active member of the Eastbrook Baptist Church, singing with the choir, participating in annual VBS skits and serving on the Board of Trustees as Moderator. Tim was second runner up two consecutive years for Outstanding Young Farmer of the year in Maine. At the time of his death, Tim was the First Selectman of Eastbrook. He served many terms on local non-profit boards and sang with the Country Connection Band and Morning Rain.
Tim will be sadly missed by his wife of 42 years Louise, his daughters Emily Dickens and husband Peter Jordan of Waltham, Heather Fowler and husband Perry of Lamoine, Amy Dickens and companion Eric Folmer of Eastbrook, nine grandchildren, Ridge, Phyllicia, Anna, Ross, Olivia, Lucas, Samantha, Karamia and Malcolm. His brother John Dickens and wife Brenda of Eastbrook, nieces Katlynn and Kathryn, sister-in-law Annabelle of Ellsworth and niece Cianita. His mother-in-law Marie Lochman-Messina of New Port Richey, FL, sister-in-law Karen MacVittie and husband Craig of Tonawanda, NY, nieces Alyson, Megan, Kelly, Kacie, nephews Kevin and Andrew. Tim was predeceased by his parents Reginald and Dorcas Dickens, brothers Thomas and Michael Dickens and nephew Christopher Dickens.
A Christian service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Eastbrook Community Building in Eastbrook. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Bragdon- Kelley Funeral Home, Ellsworth.
