PRESQUE ISLE – June A. Rand, 75, passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at a Caribou nursing home. June was born Aug. 25, 1938, in Presque Isle, the daughter of John and Phyllis (Hersey) Rediker.
June worked for more than 20 years for Maine Public Service as a Computer Operator, but her real love was her children, who were the love of her life. She was a wonderful mother, and a great cook. Even after retirement, she brought her butterscotch pie into MPS. She was a long time member of the State Street Baptist Church where she also enjoyed playing guitar.
June is survived by her children, Kevin Rand of Presque Isle, and Peggy Campbell of Fort Fairfield; her ex-husband, Clayton Rand and close friend, Donna Chamberlain; brother-in-law, Lindley and Darlene Rand Jr., and their children, Vicki and Paula; her close friends and cousins, Delores Raymond, and Bob and Rita Rediker Jr.; and long time friends, Carol Allen, and Bob and Kathy Merrill. She will also be missed by her grandchildren.
Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Duncan Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev.
