BREWER, Maine — Police are investigating a reported attempted break in that occurred early Friday morning.
Officers were dispatched to a residence at 1:40 a.m. when a couple thought somebody was trying to break into their home, according to Deputy Chief Jason Moffitt.
When police arrived, they discovered that the attempted intruder tried to gain entry by kicking out a door panel, Moffitt said.
No entry was made to the house, Moffitt said, and no arrests have been made in the case.
The case remains under investigation, the deputy chief said.
