EDDINGTON, Maine — Police on Tuesday released the names of the drivers involved in a fatal head-on collision on Route 9 Monday morning.
Denise Golding, 47, of Eddington was pronounced dead at the scene, Chief Deputy Troy Morton of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said.
Golding was headed westbound shortly before 6 a.m., when her Hyundai sedan collided with an eastbound pickup driven by Scott Ramsdell, 43, of Cutler, Morton said.
The accident occurred just west of Rooks Road, Morton said. The cause of the accident remains investigation.
Ramsdell remains at Eastern Maine Medical Center with serious injuries, Morton said.
