MILLINOCKET – Edith Joyce (McLain) Bartlett, 73, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Millinocket Regional Hospital, following a brave battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 18, 1940, in Stacyville, to Guy and Erma (Cullins) McLain.
She attended Sherman High School and later earned her G.E.D. She held positions in various businesses in Maine and Massachusetts. Edith had a wonderful sense of humor and wished nothing more than for her family to celebrate all the good times they shared together.
She was predeceased by her parents, Guy and Erma McLain; grandson, Michael Bartlett; and a sister, Barbara (McLain) Barnett. She is survived by sons, Frederick and Vickie McLain, Dannie and Debbie Bartlett Jr., David and Linda Bartlett, and Arthur and Julie Bartlett; and daughters, Cathy and Wayne Curran, Brenda and Raymond Fay, Dianna Bartlett, and Danette and Tracey Bartlett; a dear sister, Louise and Wilfred Morey; a great many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; including a special great-nephew who was very dear to her heart, Aden McLain.
