PITTSFIELD, Maine — Town Manager Kathryn Ruth has issued an alert to residents to conserve water Saturday as workers attempt to repair a “massive water main” break off Greeley Street.
Low water pressure was noticed after 9:30 a.m. and the source of the break was located about an hour later on property that once was the site of a mill.
Ruth said it was important for residents to conserve water as the repairs are being made.
