NEW SWEDEN – A memorial service for Pastor Gordon D. Compton, 70, who died Jan. 26, 2014, in Freeport, will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at Gustaf Adolph Lutheran Church, Capitol Hill Road, New Sweden. Clergy from New Sweden, Stockholm, and Caribou will participate in the service.
