WATERVILLE, Maine — A 22-year-old local man is facing multiple charges after police say they found him in a vehicle Monday with knives and drugs.

George Garcia, 22, also had three 15-year-old girls in the vehicle with him, according to Waterville Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey.

None of the teenagers were charged with any crime.

Shortly before 6 p.m., an officer noticed Garcia’s car on the side of Lower Water Street with the windows partially fogged over, Rumsey said, and stopped to investigate.

Inside the vehicle, police found 26 Flexeril pills, eight Ritalin pills, along with marijuana and two switchblade knives, Rumsey said.

Garcia was placed under arrest and charged with possession of dangerous knives, sale and use of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a Schedule W drug, unlawful possession of a Schedule Z drug and marijuana possession.

He was booked at the Waterville police station and released on bail. Garcia’s court date is set for April 8.
