BANGOR, Maine — A woman was arrested last week after drug paraphernalia was found in a vehicle she was a passenger in during a traffic stop, police say.

Officer Taylor Bagley pulled a vehicle over in which Kristina Andrews, 24, of Holden was riding on Feb. 20 for an undisclosed equipment violation, Bangor police Sgt. Cathy Rumsey said.

The driver’s name was not disclosed.

During a search of the car, Bagley found Andrews to be in possession of approximately 14 hypodermic needles, the sergeant said.

Andrews was placed under arrest and charged with illegal possession of a hypodermic apparatus, a Class D misdemeanor.

The driver was not charged, according to Rumsey.
