BATH, Maine — Two men, one from Bath and one from Standish, were arrested in Bath on Monday and charged with trafficking in crack cocaine.

Michael Walters, 36, of Bath and Dominique Wilson, 26, of Standish were each charged with a Class B felony, according to a release from Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Cmdr. Scott Pelletier. The arrests are part of an ongoing investigation, Pelletier said.

At about 3:30 p.m. Monday, agents from the MDEA Mid-Coast District Task Force, with Bath police officers and deputies from the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office, arrested the two men outside the Maritime Apartments off Oak Grove Avenue.

Police say they seized 16 grams of crack cocaine packaged for resale. It was not immediately clear where the cocaine was seized.

Drug agents allegedly purchased crack cocaine from Walters’ apartment, in the Maritime Apartments complex, during the past month.

On Monday, Wilson allegedly attempted to flee when approached by agents, but was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.

Both men were taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset, where they remained Tuesday on $2,500 cash bail each.

Pelletier said additional arrests are expected as a result of the investigation.
