SCARBOROUGH and NEW SWEDEN – Wilma Jacobs, 94, passed away March 6, 2014, at a health care facility in Scarborough. She was born Feb. 19, 1920, in New Sweden, the daughter of William and Edith (Thenser) Bengtson.
Wilma was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved painting and doing other arts and crafts. She was also a member of the Gustav-Adolf Lutheran Church in New Sweden.
She is survived by her son, Marvin Jacobs of Belmont; a daughter, Cynthia Lockwood and her husband, Doug, of East Boothbay; and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Wilma was predeceased by her husband, Hollis Jacobs; and brother, William Bengtson.
Family and friends may call 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Smith officiating.
