SANFORD, Maine — A 21-year-old local man was arrested on March 7 in connection with a handgun theft and a pair of burglaries committed last year, police said Friday.

Brandon Ogan is accused of burglary and theft of a handgun, according to Sanford police Detective Eric Small.

The handgun recovered at Ogan’s residence allegedly was stolen in a motor vehicle burglary on Feb. 28 on Bethany Drive, the detective said.

Ogan also is charged in connection with commercial burglaries at the Third Alarm Diner in April and June of last year, according to Small.

Ogan was taken to York County Jail after his arrest, the detective said.
