PORTLAND, Maine — A Massachusetts man will spend nearly four years behind bars on a weapons charge, the U.S. attorney’s office announced Wednesday.
Jamie Figueroa, 22, was handed a 46-month sentence Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Portland by Judge Brock Hornby.
Figueroa will be on three years of supervised release once he completes his prison term for a charge of possession of firearm by a felon. He pled guilty to the charge on Nov. 26.
Court documents indicate Figueroa, a convicted felon since 2012, was arrested on Sept. 2, after Windham police responded to a call regarding a residential disturbance.
Officers obtained a description of the vehicle, which had been reported stolen in New Hampshire, and found it stopped in another driveway in Windham. Figueroa was the driver.
Police found a loaded revolver in Figueroa’s pocket following his arrest.
