ORONO, Maine — Employees evacuated Alumni Hall at the University of Maine Thursday morning after workers smelled a strong “diesel odor that they couldn’t pinpoint,” according to a university spokeswoman.
Margaret Nagle said employees left the building a few minutes before 9:30 a.m. and that Orono Fire Department is on scene trying to determine where the odor is coming from and whether there might be a hazard.
