BANGOR, Maine — A 24-year-old local woman was arrested early Friday on drug charges after a traffic stop, police said.

Jenny Keniston was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over shortly after 1 a.m. by Officer Taylor Bagley, according to Sgt. Cathy Rumsey.

Police questioned Keniston, found out she had three warrants out for her arrest, and took her into custody, Rumsey said.

During a search, Bagley found Keniston in possession of two different types of pills that she didn’t have a prescription for, the sergeant said.

In addition to the warrants, Keniston was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a Schedule W drug and taken to Penobscot County Jail.

She is scheduled for arraignment on May 5.
