ROCKLAND, Maine — Police are looking for a car that was stolen Sunday night from a city home.
The red 2001 Kia sedan was taken from outside 165 Pleasant St. sometime after 10 p.m. Police received the call from the owner shortly after 6 a.m. Monday.
The keys were left in the vehicle, Deputy Rockland Police Chief Wally Tower said. He said nearly every case of a stolen vehicle in Rockland in recent years has been when keys have been left in the vehicles. He urged motorists not to leave keys in their vehicles.
The Kia has a Maine license plate of 753TK.
