SKOWHEGAN, Maine — A 34-year-old man was hospitalized late Monday evening after being stabbed during a disagreement with others attending a gathering at his home, according to police.
The victim had multiple stab wounds to the back of his head when police arrived at his Milburn Street residence shortly before midnight, according to Skowhegan police Chief Ted Blais.
The man was stabbed during a party at his residence, according to Blais.
No arrests have been made in connection with the case, the chief said, but he added he expects police to make one soon. Blais added the man was lucky to survive.
“We know who was involved in the assault and we’ve just got to keep our investigation going,” said Blais.
The victim was transported to Redington-Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan before a LifeFlight helicopter brought him to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
