BRUNSWICK, Maine — Brunswick police are alerting drivers about a controlled burn planned to occur near Route 1 throughout the day on Wednesday.
Between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., Brunswick Parks and Recreation and the Maine Forest Service will burn the Captain William Fitzgerald Park and Conservation Area, between Old Bath Road and Route 1 about one mile west of the New Meadows River.
Smoke in the area may blow across Route 1, and drivers are asked to slow down and stay alert.
