DEXTER, Maine — A 57-year-old local man was reported missing Tuesday, according to police.

Dexter Police Chief Kevin Wintle said Daniel Robichaud, who has dementia, was reported missing by his family Tuesday morning.

Robichaud last was seen at a function at the Ridge View Community School before he wandered off, according to Wintle.

The Maine Warden Service has an aircraft flying over the area while a dog from the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office is also assisting in the search, Wintle said.

Robichaud last was seen wearing a light-blue jacket, a red shirt and jeans. He stands 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds and has a thin build and black hair.

Anyone who sees Robichaud is advised to call 911.
